RollUp

RollUp is the name given to SquaredUp's ability to surface health signals all the way from the objects you import up to the top of your organization home.

This powerful feature facilitates high-level summaries of health and KPI across your environment, helping stakeholders immediately know when something is wrong, without needing to inspect individual dashboards or tiles.

What is RollUp?

RollUp provides a high-level, visual summary of health and KPI across your environment. Whether you're monitoring multiple workspaces, dashboards, or tiles, RollUp surfaces the information that matters most so teams can spot issues faster and track performance at a glance. Use cases include:

  • Executive Overviews:A single tile to summarize dozens of dashboards or monitors.
  • Ops Center Dashboards: Quickly spot degraded services.
  • Cross-Team Reporting: View high-level health across functional areas or business units.

This is ideal for executives or teams or individuals who need a bird’s-eye view of system health or key metrics without digging into individual tiles or dashboards.

How RollUp works

RollUp uses monitors and KPIs created on dashboard tiles to determine overall status across your environment.

Whenever a monitored state updates (e.g. from a Success to an Error or vice versa), that signal rolls up through the hierarchy:

Object → Tile → Dashboard → Workspace → Organization home

By defining health once at the tile level, you can reuse those signals across multiple higher-level dashboards.

Getting started with RollUp

Using RollUp is as simple as creating any other data tile. In the tile editor, simply select the RollUp data source to start visualizing health or KPIs from:

  • Workspaces:
Summarize health across groups such as teams, environments, services, or business units. This is useful when you want a single view of status across multiple functional areas.

This feature is available with a Pro or Enterprise plan

  • Dashboards:
Show the collective health state of one or more dashboards to quickly understand whether a service area or workflow is operating normally.
  • Monitors (tiles):
Aggregate the health status from monitored dashboard tiles to create higher-level status indicators that reflect underlying signals from multiple sources.
