Geodata plugin

The Geodata plugin allows you to add a data source that creates objects for countries, cities, and currencies which can be used in data streams that come from other data sources.

It's a utility plugin that can add data sources without entering any credentials, which means you don't have to create an API key, user account, or anything like that.

The OpenWeatherMap data source is a great addition to the Geodata data source. It enables you to see weather data for the cities and countries the Geodata data source created. See OpenWeatherMap plugin.

Configuring the data source

  1. Display name:
Enter a name for your data source. This helps you to identify this data source in the list of your data sources.

  2. Import options:
Select the checkboxes next to the objects you want to import. These objects can be used to scope geographic data streams.
  3. Optional: Restrict access to this data source:
You can enable this option if you only want certain users or groups to have access to the data source, or the permission to link it to new workspaces. See data source access control for more information.

  4. Click Add to add the plugin.
